Nancy Judd selected as a 2012 TogetherGreen Fellow
Nancy has won a 2012 Audubon & Toyota TogetherGreen fellowship for her work as an environmental educator. Nancy was one of 40 fellows nationwide selected to engage people in habitat, water, and energy projects around the country. TogetherGreen is a major conservation initiative of the National Audubon Society that is funded by Toyota. The goals of the program are to nurture conservation leadership, achieve conservation results, and engage millions of Americans in conservation action.
In addition to professional development opportunities, a grant of $10,000 provides each fellow with the opportunity to implement a conservation project of their own design. Over the next 12 months, this funding will allow Nancy to create an energy efficiency curriculum for 6th grade classes that the students will implement in their homes. Nancy will also create a new Recycle Runway garment using waste items related to energy conservation that will document the amount of CO2 the students will prevent during their projects.
