     Working with Youth

 

	Georgia O'Keeffe Summer Art and Leadership Program for Girls
	Youth education is at the core of the Recycle Runway mission. Nancy Judd gives presentations and workshops to youth across the country using her couture recycled garments to capture the kids' imagination. Ms. Judd weaves in the themes of recycling and environmental stewardship in her presentations and workshops. Ms. Judd is currently working on a new garment with kids from across the country: The Youth Eco-Dress. Click here to see a sketch and learn more.   At a Los Angeles Montessori School Ms. Judd maps the creation of a piece of junk mail. On the screen behind Nancy is a photo of her Junk Mail Fan Dress. The children learn about the resources used and pollution created to make new paper and the resources saved when we reduce our waste.
